I read a lot of other Blogs, journals and diaries. I make stuff. Sometimes I write stuff too. I kept a geocities diary for 3 years once. I'm hoping that will mean I'll keep posting here for more than a month or two.

on the eve of a new year.

New Year's is my most favourite time of the year.  Generally I like to spend it in solitude and contemplation, organisation and planning - but it doesn't always work out that way.  Tonight my friend Tracy is having a NYE party, and we will be in attendance.  Today's goal is to tidy my study and have it ready for the New Year.  I have this sort of half baked, "tucked way in the back of my mind", theory that if I start the year organised, tidy, clear headed and motivated - the rest of my year will follow suit.  Last year was begun that way, and in all it was a pretty good year.

This NYE I will be drinking as many Honky Tonk Lemonades as one can make from an entire bottle of vodka.

We celebrated Xmas day at home this year (same as the past 5 years), and enjoyed it immensely.  It was my last dinner as a meat eater, and I certainly did it in style.  That I am slowly, but surely whittling my diet away until I become truly vegan is a topic for another journal entry.

I crafted my little ass off in the lead up to xmas.  On Xmas eve I made an entire table setting - napkins, place mats, and a table runner.  I'll sacrifice modesty to post a picture, shall I?

Next up is a pic of the feast.  Turkey, roast portk, vegetables, gravy, rolls, stuffing, and other bits and pieces.  We really went all out.

Finally a pic of the giant crazy dog - MoMo (his morphed name since it's the only other thing he will respond to apart from Romeo), this dog ate SO much turkey I feared he would explode, then got up on the couch and slept for many many hours in a meat induced coma.  Here he is in a rare moment of wakening.

Finally the giant crazy dog on his Xmas present giant dog pillow.  I made it as big as I could, and it's still too small for him.

I love my giant, greyhound, crazy dog.
